Track Day at Autobahn Country Club 6/2/05

Thursday, June 2 at Autobahn Country Club's North Track!
These Driver Education events are casual and first-timers are welcomed! You will only go as fast as you are comfortable with.

Each run group will get plenty of track time! Each group will get six 20-minute sessions. There are also two 20-minute instructor sessions, and we would encourage you to ride along with an instructor and pick up a few new tricks, regardless of your skill level!

The cost is $185 for this single-day event.

Convertibles allowed! A convertible with a roll bar (including factory rollover protection) can run in any group, and in the Novice/Beginner group, a convertible can run without a roll bar.

Sounds like the same setup that car and driver mag is doing in milwaukee for 99 bucks, and spike tv is covering that one

No, this is a high performance drivers ed event, basically like a lapping day or a test and tune except with instruction for those who require it and a structure to the schedule.
The Car and Driver Precision Racing events are like all of those magazine events: The events they allow the participants to drive are small-scale and very goal-oriented. The object isn't to make you a better driver, it's to bring non-racing car enthusiasts out to any type of event in their car.
The Precision Racing events have three courses for drivers, and drivers do all three in a day for $99: A 100-yard acceleration, an autocross style cone "labyrinth", and a skidpad.
The event at Autobahn is on a live, hot racetrack with cars driving full and complete laps at speed for 20 minute sessions.
