I'm lookin to buy a new motor for the passenger side window of my z28. I bought the car this mornin and realized this afternoon that it gets the window to within an inch or so of the seal when goin up...then it just dies and wont work again till I'm cruisin in 4th gear or higher. The mirror goes down fine but once it jams goin up it wont go down either...so I guess I have to buy a new motor. If anyone knows a fix for this let me know, as I would prefer not to spend the extra cash right now.

When it says drilling small holes in the inner door panel...is that the actual panel on the inside of the vehicle? Cause I thought you could remove the door panels...

Before you do the motor, I'd do a search in the gen tech f-body section to make sure you don't need to do anything with the track. I don't know much about fixing the track but I do know its sometimes a problem on fbodies.

its pretty str8 forward, I just did mine. You locate the 3 rivets that hold the motor to the track bracket and drill through the fiberglass door behind your door panel. Drill out the rivets with like a 1/4" or a tad smaller. You dont have to drill all the way through the rivet, just enough to drill the head off, then pop them through with a small hammer and a centerpunch or something similar (pointed). Then use bolts and nuts to re-attach you'er new one. Cake.
