I don't know anything about rotating tires or whether it really is good or not. My rear tires are starting to get "square" but my fronts are still "rounded," would it be a good idea to put the backs on the front and the fronts on the back? If it matters, the tread is still very good on both front and the rear tires. Thanks for the help.

you wanna rotate your tires every 5-6k miles, assuming they are all the same size

Aiight, the problem is I have no clue how many miles these tires have on them. I know they at least have 2500 from me.

You could just rotate them now and start the clock again if they are in need.

I don't think the back tires are "starting to get square". That's how they look when they are new. The "rounded" edges in the front are the result of cornering loads, and possibly misalignment. You definitely need to swap them front to rear right away. You also need to be aware that some tires a "directional" and can not be swapped from side to side, if you were considering an "X" pattern of rotation. If your tires are directional, they will have an arrow on the sidewall, marked "ROTATION".

Yeah, I know some tires are rotational. Here's a picture of the driver side front and rear tires:

After seeing the pics, I would rotate and alignment would be a good idea as well... Unless you've been driving it pretty hard last 2k miles. Definitely look into it more if this happens after you swap them.

I drive my car fairly hard, she kinda gets pissed if I don't, if I didn't I might as well have bought a Honda *shutters*. Thanks for all the advice, I will definatly rotate them this weekend.

Get a front end alignment (unevern wear on the front tires) and then rotate the tires. Thats not cause by hard driving.

I don't think the wear is uneven on the front tires though, they look the same to me.

If you think, then don't ask. ;)

I never did ask though, I was asking about the difference between the front and the rear tires, not the two front tires.
