Just a Silly Question...

I have a new bottom end but a bottom end that'll be probably going on 127k once I have the cash for all of it.

XE227/233 cam on a 114lsa (560 lift), 1.6rr, Comp R lifters etc... long tubes are going on soon. Should have about 350rwhp/350tq

I am getting MSD, injectors (dunno what size yet), window switch, fuel pump, etc... basically everything i'll need to make it as safe as possible for nitrous + tune.

I want to run 125 shot... either 100 or 125... anyway

The car still runs real strong and all the good stuff. I really just want to nail mid 11's...

You think the motor should hold up on all that stress? I won't be launching on the spray out of the hole but want to spray as soon as I hook with Nitto DR"s... I let off the gas during shifts (Powershifting is to much for me man... L0L). I want to tackle mid 11's... think it's possible and safe?

Before I added my supercharger and blew it up. I was runnin a stock LT1 with 170,000 miles on it and was running a 150 hp dry kit. I was running 11.80's in the quarter. The only bolt ons I had where 1.6 rr rockers and 52mm TB. and a MSD 6AL with timing controller. Was still running manifoilds and removed the cat and was running a Magnaflow exhaust. Was a stick car and had 4.11's in the rear. I would say it all depends how well the motor was maintained and driven. I did drive mine hard but I was always keeping up on the oil changes and maintenance. I have seen alot of guys run Nitrous on motors with miles on them and have no probs. I would launch the car at 3000 rpms with M/T Streets and when the last yellow light lit, I would hit the button and drop the clutch. Trust me, The rear end doesnt like this. LOL It lasted a while and I really dropped some jaws with my times but as for speed comes a price. If you are looking for mid 11's. Be prepared to start having some driveline issues.

Dry Shot... aren't the wet shots better anyway (I wanted to go with that). Are there any benefits from a Dry Shot as to a Wet shot?

2nd... well, I will have cam/headers done to my car so it should be a mid 12 car to begin with. I just want to nail 11's... not mid 11's... it would be nice but an 11.8 would make me happy :-)

I wouldn't spray out of the hole either... maybe once I hit 2nd or all of 3rd/4th.
