4L60E Replacing the Pump???

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is holding the transmission pump in, I have unbolted the bolts in the front. I think there is a solinod holding it in there but I don't know where it is at. I am trying to replace the pump outer seal.

Also what other gaskets or seals do I need to replace besides the pan gasket?

Has anyone ever put in a trans go reprograming kit? :(

You need to remove the solenoid, and you also need a special tool to remove the pump.
However, you can do it without that tool by using a screw driver between the pump and the input drum and pry on it. For the gasket, I would recommend buying a complete gasket kit and it is about $20. Finally, are you having difficulty to install Trans-go kit? Let me know. Ivan

Well I put the trans go kit in about 7 months ago and everything went great except for the booster valve because I did not know how to get the pump out, but I did loosen the pump bolts and lightly pulled on it. To make a long story short it I ran out of time put it back together and it leaks about 1Qt a month from the pump o-ring. I am in the process of other mods and I now have the tranny out. Do you by chance know where the solinoide is located?

Um...You don't have to remove the pump to put the boost valve in. You can get to it from the bottom of the transmission.

You have 2 things keeping the pump in...The lock-up solenoid, and the filter. Both are easily removed if you pull the pan.

The lock-up solenoid is in the pan. It's held in by 2 10MM bolts. If yours is a '95-up, you'll want to remove the PWM solenoid that's sticking out the front of the valvebody (directly over the Lock-Up solenoid. This can be done by removing the retaining clip in the slot in the valvebody, with a small screwdriver. Be careful the clip doesn't fly away on you.
