26 x 10.5 x 16 fit stock 16x8 wheel?!

im looking for slicks for the track, and buddy of mine says they will fit fine...

is that true?!

Mickey Thompson recommends that the wheel size be no more than 1" less than the tread width, for their tires. Since an ET Street 26x10.5-16 has an 8.4" tread width, you will be fine with an 8" wheel.
