SLP Loudmouth and Loudmouth II Cat-back question
SLP Loudmouth and Loudmouth II Cat-back question
For those of you who have these system I have several questions, first are they annoyingly loud, second whats the difference between the two, and third does it come with everything from the Y pipe back, was it easy to install, and last is it easy to install? I'd appreciate as much info as you all can provide, thanks.

Re: SLP Loudmouth and Loudmouth II Cat-back question
Catbacks are easy to install -- especially if you have a Sawsall to or something to cut through the old exhaust quickly. Did mine in under 2 hours by myself. The systems include the long i-pipe that connects to the y-pipe, the muffler/resonator, and the tail section (typical f-body catback). I have the original system which is equivalent to the LM1. It's fine for me because I like loud, but it is often too much for others who don't. The difference between the LM1 & LM2 is a reflection of the "Dynomouth" mod people have been doing before the system was made modular. In essence, the resonator from the LM1 is replaced by a bullet muffler in the LM2. Performance should not be affected much, if any at all. However, the noise levels and raspy sound quality some have complained about will be reduced. It's up to you to decide if you want something louder than stock or borderline obnoxiously louder than stock. I chose the latter.
