Help!!! Rims hitting caliper

Ok...This is for the front tires...weld prostar 15x7x4.5...rims are hitting front calipers...tires mounted on rims 205.65R15. I have a 95 camaro... see signature... is there anything I can do to keep the rims I have? If not...what size rims do I do need? for FRONT tires only...RIMS FOR SALE WELD PROSTAR 15x7x4.5 maybe...

The Pro-Stars hit in the front on the LT1, but its usually 1) the area where the center disc of the wheel rolls over to become the rim, hitting the big horizontal bar on the steering knuckle that the caliper/pads rest on, and 2) the center spokes can hit the metal clips that hold the pads in the caliper. Changing the backspace will not solve the problem, since its the center disc that is interfering, not the rim.

The common solution is to add a 5/16" spacer. Then you need longer studs to meet NHRA tech.

what size studs do i need and it that hard to do after i take off caliper and rotor
i have only replaced studs on a drum unit before
aso the only size spacer people around here have is 1/4

I run a 2.67" stud that I got from Lingenfelter. I believe ARP ands GM Performance Parts sell similar studs with the .500" knurl. You can punch the stock studs out and pull the new ones in without removing the caliper or rotors.

The Lingenfelter studs have an additional 5/8" of unthreaded stud on them, and it make putting your stock wheels back on a major problem.

I'm not a dealer in anything except free information. :) I've seen 5/16" spacers in many auto parts stores and in the Summit and JEGs catalogs. Technically, you need a "hubcentric" or "lugcentric" spacer to meet NHRA tech. Skulte Designs will make them for you out of aluminum, I think for around $100.
