New to nitrous... need some info re: a used kit

Study break from finals here at Purdue...

My buddy was short on cash and had to tear into his motor. I had a couple major parts he needed, so I traded him straight up for a NOS dry kit. I'm not 100% sure about putting it on the car, but I figured I would read up a little and then make a decision. This kit has been tweaked with and I'm just now sitting down and making an inventory of the parts.

The guy told me it isn't complete, and I'm cool with that. I know I'll need a window switch, and he already gave me a FPSS. I'm just curious what else I'm missing.

Nitrous was fed through a fan spray nozzle like this one (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOSCA/FanNozl.html). This nozzle goes back through 2' of line to an arrangement of solenoids. Here's a REALLY crappy pic of how it fits together... I'm slowly weaning myself off Photoshop onto Gimp... but as ya can see I still have a lot of adjusting to do ;)

From what I've read, the blue part attatches to your fuel pressure regulator, and the solenoid just downstream from it gets connected to the FPSS. The solenoid upstream (on the right) should go to the window switch / WOT switch, correct? Also, where do the jets go on a system like this? I've heard that the fan spray nozzle is just one size and you slip the jet in the line somewhere else...

Definatly put it on your car I run a 100 shot wet kit on a high milage lt1. You sound like you have the safety covered .. Wot switch, window switch and fpss.Other safety options are a pressure guage and blow down tube on the tank.

I wouldnt run too high of a shot though on the stock fuel pump with a dry kit they have trouble keeping up. The nozzle needs to go on the elbow before the maf sensor this is important that way it can adjust for fuel. Also very important run 1-2 degrees colder on a copper spark plug. If you stick with the platinums you will burn them up...

Spray and have fun.. the best mod ive done yet , no problem running with ls1 and supercharged cars but dont expect mad max.... or fast and the furious... but it will kick ya in the pants..

Placing the nozzle in front of the MAF can cause the screen to freeze over and cause problems.

I would put the nozzle after the MAF.

The blue thing does Tee into the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator. What it does is bleed some nitrous off the system and increase fuel pressure to compensate for the nitrous.

The jet goes right inside the nozzle where the nitrous line connects to it. Unscrew the line from the nozzle, slip the jet in the nozzle, and screw the line back on. The flared side of the jet will meet up with the flare inside the nitrous line and seal it up.

If you're concerned about the solenoids, you can buy service kits and rebuild them if you like.

I purchased a dry kit, that had the same setup you're describing, and converted it to a wet it, so it's easier to tune.
