2000? Mustang Rousch stage 1, mods: rousch package?! and cai

1996 z28 M6 mods in sig minus the headers and exhuast(they go on tomorrow)

One of my friends at my school just got a 2000 something rousch! it looks mean...lol anyway i went to see it today and he took me for a ride. We decided we should race. We met on the bypass and decide to go from a roll. (15mph? 2.5rpm in 1st). On my third honk we both nailed it. Instanty i get the jump and put him at my rear bumper. As i slam second i can see myself inching on him and he appears in my rear veiw. I had about 2-3 on him at 90-100mph and i was pulling pretty decent. so i won! :bow:
Its a pretty decent car and i can't wait untill he puts some work into it. before you comment on this remember its a stage 1.

ya my friends dad has a bullit, i guess you could say its kinda the same

Better intake, exhaust, pulley, and cosmetics. However I dont know much about the Roush's. I raced a Bullitt once, pulled about the same as the Stage one.

Only rousch you need to worry about in the stage 3 w/ the blower...Stage one is nothing more then a body kit and a few worthless mods

This one was a 360R w/the blower and nah there was just a tree on the side of the road that blocked the view.

I thought i herd a blower on that thing. He must have been a pretty horrible driver to get beat that bad, unless he pulls later down the road.

Ahhh didn't know u posted here. Beans sold that roush, its a really big POS. Drove it around and its def a turd.

Tell me what was it like to see cavalier tail lights that race through town? ;) To bad the oil pump took a **** on me and seized my engine. Oh well, back to workin on the TA.

You got a nice car man, get the headers and exhaust on, should be sweet.

Thanks Scott! Once we get the timeslip I suspect they might do a feature article which will be very cool. I'm waiting on the new trans to arrive. The stock one just can't handle this kind of power and I knew it would happen. Oh well, Art Carr going in soon.

I thought the Stage 1 Roush Mustang is a V6 too........ infact it is a V6. Some body kit and 17in wheels. But also looks like it comes in GT form too? The Stage 2 is based on the GT and the Stage 3 is supercharged. http://www.roushperf.com/html/rpp_mustangstage1.htm

And actually, rousch stage 1 can be either a v6 or a v8. Stage 1 is only a body kit, wheels, and side exhaust, some of the more expensive ones can have pulleys and suspension. Don't forget the floormats and toolkit (my buddy had a v8 stage 1, it was alright).


Stage II and III are v8 only.
