Rims to get.. LETs vote!

The car they are goin on is a Silver 95 Z28 with a black top and SS hood, also has a black rear "camaro" panel. All of the rims im deciding on are ZR1 style rims. 17 x 9.5 in the front 17 x 11 rear. Im deciding between Crome, Polished, Painted Silver and Black with a Polished lip. So lets VOTE!

chrome looks good on any car. You can't see black so well.

you can't see black too well... that's not what they tell me 0_0. granted it doesnt show up well in pics but in person you can see them really well. a good black powdercoat is pretty shiny, or at least mine is. even i have to agree, though, its hard to beat chrome. for some reason i just like the black/chrome on the black topped cars esp red or white with black top

Its not a vert.. its just got the black top and rear views...

I figured it was just a painted black roof, i forget that they even make verts in Fbodies, no one has one in this area.

Ive got the same setup as you, (black top, mirrors, tail panel) only the car is white and I went with the Black Wheels. Looks good in my opinion.

I also did rolled edge slash cut exhaust tips powdercoated a gloss black.

TA4life's car does look damned good :D....

I'm probably in the minority but on a factory silver car... for some reason... the silver painted wheels look "just right" to me. Don't know why, but that's my thought everytime I see that setup.

Said the same thing the other day when I saw a new silver C6 w/silver wheels. Just looked "right".

Hey, do they make silver c6 wheels? All I've ever seen were the chrome. I have a silver Z with black top and mirrors etc. and would love to have a set of those c6 wheels but powder coated silver.

Don't get ZR1s, IMO they're ordinary and very commonplace. They actually LOOK like stock wheels...and while, say a Z06 wheel is also a stock wheel, it looks great on a Camaro.

Z06s...SS 10-spoke (my favorites because I have them :D)...C5...tons of choices.

Im leaning towards the silver ones.. keep the votes coming!

I think I may have found the rims i want.. Ive never seen them before, they are ZR1s from AFS wheels.. But they are painted silver with the machined lip.. they look really sweet. they are on ebay if anyone wants to look at them.

They are a direct bolt-on and no spacers or adapters are needed. They also fit on the 1993-2003 Trans Am, or Firebird! Please note, this is not the correct offset for the Camaro. They are 5-lug (5x120.65mm).

yea those are them.. But it says they fit 93-02 firebirds or trans ams.. doesnt that mean it will fit my car??

I would think so but just to be sure... I'd give AFS a call and see what they say. May be that they need a little massaging to fit and to avoid any negative feedback from people who don't know any better.... they add that little disclaimer.
If that is the case, I'm sure AFS wouldn't mind telling you.

As far as that goes... I'm sure someone will come along who has a definitive answer. :thumb:

Those offsets look goofy on the camaros and trans am's. It sticks the wheels out to far.


You want the 56mm offset for the front and the 50mm offset for the rear.

i personally think that chrome doesn't go well with silver, imo

i have the same looks of yours silver car, ss hood, ram air painted black, rear piece, mirrors, and top. and i'm looking to get either black z06 rims with the chrome lip and rivets or the C6 rims w/ chrome lip and rivets :bow: a bit pricey and i really want to stick with the 17X9.5's but i haven't seen c6 rims in that size. i like the z06 rims too because of the nice dish they have.

i have silver zr1's now and they look really nice!
