Anybody have any quarums about these pads? I've heard lots of good stuff about them and am thinking up using them as my pads are shot.

I am having difficulty buying them. Where are they sold? Tirerack.com only had the rears for my 94 z28. Where else can they be purchased?

Thanks!

They are good street pads. I've read about racers wearing them out quickly.

What's the best all round pad then? One that doesn't dust terrible and squeek terrible but stops AWESOME. I noticed Hawk pads weren't all that expensive compaired to the EBC greenstuff pads.

Thanks :D

Don't get Hawk pads if you want to avoid dusting and squealing. They do stop awesome once they are warmed up, but they do a great job of squealing then.

Yeah, I have ceramic pads on the rear and the Hawk street pads on the front. The Hawks dust a bit more, and they definitely squeal. I had some Wagner pads on the front before, and they never squealed. I guess I should also point out that I have the LS1 front brakes.

I have the Hawks on my wife GP - they dust more than stock, but not objectionably so. They're quiet too. I'm putting them on my Z and daily driver, along with some Brembo rotors, in the not too distant future.

I've got Hawk HPS pads on both ends of my car and have never had any squealing problems. I also never notice any dust on the wheels between washings (usually once a week). I replaced the rotors and pads at once so that may have helped. I was gonna run EBC pads from Tire Rack but there were way more favorable reviews for the Hawk pads.

I just went through a set of EBC greenstuff's about a week ago. They lasted around 20 thousand. I'm upgrading to c5 brakes personally. They didnt sqeak at all and I did notice an improvement in braking but caused me to go through rotors very fast. Very dusty pad also. I wouldnt recomend them personally because there's got to be better pads out there IMO but they do stop a car.

I took my old breaks off finally. Man were they in need of it... The backing on one of the pads was actually hardcore warped! Installed the Hawk HPS pads like you recomended. OH MY GOD!!! There is a HUGE difference. And they make no noise what so ever. I love them. Thanks for the help!

The green stuff is a very poor substitute for anything other than a street type of pad for a Fbody. Very poor performance at HPDE and slalom.
