Side view mirror help...

Well i just got my camaro on friday, and i love it. However, i have manual mirrors and on the driver side one i think one of the springs or whatever the mechanism is broke. It just points up and gives me a nice view of the sky. Is there anyway to take the mirror off and fix it? If so any recommendations on what to do?

I got electric mirrors, but see if you can find screws that you can remove and then reinstall the mechanism or replace it with new parts or from a junk yard. Good luck.
