Is it bad to use jackstands on your subframe connectors?

just what it says... i have box tubed sfc's and my jackstands would fit perfectly on them.... :confused:

I don't see why you can't, other than scratching them. I have boxed SFC's and lift the whole side of the car with a floor jack, but use a piece of old tire between the jack and the SFC.

If your jack stand is narrow, it can dent the boxed channel. I place the jack stands under the end pads (welded plates) of the sub frame connectors to support my car.
