LT1 + N2O = ??? trap speed....

I was just curious in what kind of trap speed Lt1 cars are making with a 100+ shot of nitrous. I will be adventuring into the world of sray soon and I am wondering just how much spray (or what complimentary mods with the bottle) it'll take to run 115? 120? etc... Basically I would like to see what kind of setups you guys are running to accomplish the times you make. Any info is appreciated.

My car went 13.2 @ 106 (2.0 60') on motor, dynoed 267/316
On a 125 shot (NOS Brand) It made 366/492 and went 12.2@117 (2.3!!!!! 60')
This was all on a stock tune. 11.7 a/f on motor 10.2 A/F on spray So it had ALOT of room to grow

Those are good numbers. I was hoping to see the mph somewhere near 120. with some more tuning I don't think that you'll have any trouble eclipsing that mark. thanks for your input.

3 years ago when I first bought my car it had a 355 with MTI heads and comp 305 cam.ASM headers, stock rear end and suspension.Auto car.It went 11.40 at 122mph.The 60ft was 1.89. On motor it ran low 12s.

What kind of shot were you running? Basically I am trying to see what it would take to run 120+ in the quarter in the most efficient and economical way. I think with the suspension mods I have done and a good set of tires I should reach that speed on a 150 shot. Too many variables to really tell though. :confused:

my car has not been on the spray yet!however my buddies car 97 droptopws6,a4,2800 stall,3.23's,slp shorties,off road y-pipe,NOS 125 dry shot(yuk!)ran 12.31@108 2400'+.....his 94 m6,3.42's,crappy autozone clutch(slippin ),52mm,k&n cai,125 ZEX kit the car ran 11.90@113 NO HEADERS or a TUNE yet!
we will be hitting the track again with a tune from MAD-Z.however the weather is gettin warm fast...

With a good clutch and dead hook spraying off the line I went from 102 to 119 with a 100 shot TnT that dynoed 90 but I had like ureal torque. 2 years later another lt1 one guy should up at moroso running a wet kit made a single NOS fogger with fresh dynos done on the car to get the jetting to a 100 rwhp and he went from 104 to 118 with his clutch giving up at the end of the night. The big thang is the wet kits from my small time with spray are putting out better torque for LT1's also shifting at a lower rpm on spray picked my et up big time. both 6 speed cars.

On a 100 or so ZEX dry shot my car went from the time in sig. to a 12.83@114.5 MPH. I have no doubt that it'll trap ~118 MPH once I get a bottle warmer and get the pressure up to 950 psi or so. The 114 MPH pass was with 125 jetting at 600 PSI bottle pressure.

I ran 12.8 @ 114 yesterday with a 2.1 60' on a 100 shot wet kit and mods in sig.

This is exactly what I wanted to see. I am currently building up the rest of the drivetrain to handle spray. Once that is done I will most likely put a 150 wet kit on it. Once again I thank everyone who has posted on here.

I used to run 12.00's@110mph with a stock bottomend small cammed LT1 N/a. Then I would spray 100HP NX and 11.00's@122mph. I stepped up to 150HP and went 10.80's@125mph. It's not too hard to do. I now go from 118-119mph N/A to 130-133mph depnding on the NX jetting (150-200HP). Goodluck Clint
