anyone use a tunnel brace? i see GMS has them (G-load brace in summit racing) and so does BMR now. they are said to replace the stock brace with no welding or drilling, and provide stronger support for the drive shaft tunnel.
just wondering if anyone uses them or feels they are just boggas...

I've seen a couple of posts in LT1 tech that said it was easy to hit it on the ground. Granatelli has a new one that looks like it should have fewer ground clearance problems, plus it incorporates a bolt on driveshaft loop.

It bolts to sheet metal extentions that are just spot welded to the floor. Not very strong and not a place with a lot of stress,but with any triangulating SFC's that also attach at that spot they then have a big effect on side to side flex[most effect if the SFC's are welded to both pinch welds under the doors].In that case the L-bracket mount of the tunnel brace reinforces the mount of the SFC.
