I know someone in the USMC and was just stationed in California at Pendleton, to get the on base sticker it appears you must show complience (I assume, a pass letter or sticker for emissions) for Cali Smog. Does anyone know any "friendly" shops in the area? The car will pass and run clean(It passed in Illinois), but the visual is what they are worried about with long tubes, and some smog equipment missing and whatever else they test for. The car will stay registered out of state, with valid out of state insurance and valid out of state license(IL)... which is good for the state, but to get the car on base you need to show "complience" with CA Smog laws...
I know in IL when you pass you get a paper and a sticker, saying passed, is it the same in CA? Where do I find places authorized to pass cars?
