To all who recommended Alpine + Rockford Fosgate

Finally bit the bullet and got an Alpine MP3 player (CDA 9830), Rockford Fosgate componants for the doors, Rockford Fosgate 6.5"'s for the passenger compatment. I left the two tweeters in the speaker for the componants, the way they wanted them mounted seperately wasn't doable in my eyes. When I got my install kit from a local stereo shop he told me Alpine & Rockford Fosgate were total junk, he recommened Cadence stuff. WTF keep them opinions to yourself I told him, I'll make my own judgements. Got it all in........how does it sound??

Unfreakingreal!!! Dunno if its the speakers or the HU, but this setup is exactly what I wanted. I didn't want mega bass or ear splitting power......I wanted crystal clear sound. This setup sounds even better than the Bose system in my '99 Maxima (previously the best system I ever heard). What's amazing is I haven't really set up the Alpine HU (skeaker delays and such) but its sounds so clear and powerful I'm wondering if I even NEED an amp. BTW the guy at the stereo shop turned out to be a really nice guy, if I do get an Amp I'll get one of his Cadence units.

Good to hear a combo that works since I am in need of a system for my car since my Bose bit the dust. Everyone at my workplace loves Alpine and RF

How about the deep notes, do you have the rear Bose sub still?
