Pre 99 GT on 10psi vs. 383 LE2 WS.6
Hey guys,
I know the pre 99 GT's are pretty slow out of the factory, and they are popular to throw a blower on. With that said, I had the chance to run one with a vortech kit running 10psi. Frankly it was a bit sad, as I had better than 5 car lengths by about 80mph and was still pulling very hard, so I got out of it. What would such a car run in street trim?

Hard to say without knowing what other mods he had. I'd guess he'd be making about 300 at the wheels, give or take.

kinda comforting, as im still waiting to get my car back with more mods, a guy moved in down the road a bit with a blown 98+ gt. you can hear that thing whine a block away but from talking to him he doesnt have any other mods other than reflash. i was starting to worry about the s/c.

I beat a 98 GT convert running 8 PSI back in North Carolina when I had a messed up engine and tranny. He was not happy to see an AOD LX with no power adder wax his ***. They are really slow unless the swap has been done, one of those engines Ford should have never put in a Mustang.

theres a guy here that has a procharged 99+ mustang (cant remember the year). he made 450+rwhp. so i would expect 350 or so from a non PI 4.6.
