Catalytic Converter?scof0elife 04-05-2005, 02:05 AM WILL A Catalytic Converter TAKE OUT THE RATTLE SOUND COMING OUT FROM MY MUFFLER? ALSO, WHAT IS THE BENIFIT OF CHANGING MY Catalytic Converter? HOW MUCH DOES ONE COST? ianwells100 04-05-2005, 02:13 AM ok, ur annoying me now... 2 threads, same question... go buy a haynes manual, do searches... just something other than 5 posts about hte same thing (ok, i'm exaggerating, but its a little much) ImportKILLER 04-05-2005, 02:21 AM Is your search button broken? Because I saw one post about what the rattle was in your car? And now this one? Also, I bet if I tell you that you'll need to replace your o2 sensors too when you replace your cat, you'll create another one asking about o2 sensors? Oh yeah, and I agree with Ian. DO A SEARCH...OR CALL A MECHANIC. scof0elife 04-05-2005, 12:11 PM yeah guys sorry about that extra post, something was wrong with my broswer and I thought my post weren't showing up. thanks though guys! 99blackSS 04-07-2005, 08:19 AM WHAT IS THE BENIFIT OF CHANGING MY Catalytic Converter? Since your catalytic converter is most likely the problem... your benefit from replacing it will be passing smog. :D The benefit of changing to a aftermarket one is for hp gain. BiH 04-09-2005, 12:25 AM ok, ur annoying me now... 2 threads, same question... go buy a haynes manual, do searches... just something other than 5 posts about hte same thing (ok, i'm exaggerating, but its a little much) thanks god your not a MOD here  Nitro 04-09-2005, 01:43 AM Your CATALYTIC CONVERTER the universal one will costs around $60 and the only benefit will be you'll be able to pass Emissions. A way to check your CATALYTIC CONVERTER is to hit it with a rubber hammer if you here something rattling inside it than the CATALYTIC CONVERTER is bad. scof0elife 04-27-2005, 06:22 PM Purchased a high flow cat and the rattle is gone woohoo :) MarcR94v6 04-27-2005, 06:30 PM You sure have a lot of mods for a beginner. I hope you know what they all do. gauntlet009 04-27-2005, 08:02 PM IF you gut your cat that rattle will be gone to ;) MarcR94v6 04-27-2005, 08:27 PM See I'm also a beginner, because I don't know what gutting my cat does, how to do it, or if I should even do it. But don't worry, I won't start a thread asking about it. I'll probably seacrh for it. So don't answer me in this thread, or I'll kill you!! ;) scof0elife 04-27-2005, 09:34 PM I know I could of gutted it, but just wanted to place a high flow cat. I know I could of also added a straight pipe without a cat but once again I wanted to just replace my cat with a high flow cat. And for all those haters out there, I do my searches. If you don't want to help me out and just say stupid comments don't reply at all. For those that actualy help me out thanks a lot guys. 99blackSS 04-27-2005, 11:32 PM See I'm also a beginner, because I don't know what gutting my cat does, how to do it, or if I should even do it. The downside is not passing smog. | ||
