XE224/230, 30# inject, what settings with tunercat?

I just installed rebuilt motor with xe224/230 comp cam with 30#injectors, I need to know what settings to put into my computer for startup.

I have tunercat and cables, along with freescan. I have everything ready, but I don't want to start car up and it to go heywire.

What type of 30 lb injectors? (Or, what are they rated at?). If they are Ford, they are rated at 39 psi. You need to convert that to 43.5 psi where the lt1's run at..... Doing the math yields 31.7. There is roundoff error too, so don't be alarmed if you can't get it just right.

You would also want to change the injector offsets. You might be able to find them by searching the forum, otherwise check out the site www.carprogrammer.com. Poke around, I think Christian has them somewhere. You could also search the lt1edit list archives at www.lt1edit.com. The injector offset is an additive factor, it is basically a measure of how long the injector takes to open. Therefore it will have a noticeable effect at idle (small pulsewidth) and diminish as pulsewidth rises.

For your cam I would also bump the idle up at least 100 rpm.
