Smile 77 Trans am heater box

Guys I have a serious problem. I have air conditioning on my 77 Trans am and would like to get rid of it. The problem is I do not know if a standard heater box from a 77 will bolt in. The heater core is another problem, will I have to change it to a non-AC core or can I use the same core with the standard heat box. Any information will be appreciated.

I had AC in my car, and I ripped it out. Took out the canister and little thingy that looks like a mini radiator, the name of it slipped my mind right now. I have the same heater core, just the top outlet is plugged and not connected.............THE HEATER CORE IS A BITCH TO REPLACE, BIG JOB, have to remove the wheelwell to get the last bolt on the bottom of it! Here's a link with some tips on it........
