If anyone can give me an answer to this i would be greatly appreciative. My odometer is not digital! It is a rolling one but i have 97 interior. I cant buy white face gauges cuz there are none out there that will fit!

The '97 brochure says the digital odometer pictured in the brochure had "mid-year availability." I think it was earlier than midyear...I have never seen a '97 with an analog one. Not sure what to tell you :(

Whats the build date on the car? It should be on the sticker inside the drivers door jamb.

My car was built in March 97 and it is digital, never seen a 97 with analog.

My car's invoice date is 4/16/97, so I assume mine was also a March build date...again, mine is digital as well.

mechanical odometers are rare in the 97 cars. I've actually been looking for one for my car so I can get my odometer reading right after my dash swap.

Off-topic I know, but I plan to do the same thing soon. Is the problem just getting the numbers correct? Can't you get the dealer to reporgram the odo? I know the digital from a 97 will work, at least from what I've read.

I have seen that before in a 97 30th car, its not uncommon, the parts catalog even lists a mech odometer for the 97 Firebirds.

You can't change the miliage on the digital units. I talked to the dealer and only the company that manufactured the unit can manipulate them. For obvious legal reasons there are almost no reasons short of the dealer replacing an original odometer in your car that they will do it. I've been searching Ebay for a speedo with the correct or close miliage.
Shoot me a PM, I've got many of the answers you probably have about the dash swap.
