With enough money, skills and time many things are possible with cars.

Probably better off fixing the LT1. Engines that aren't supposed to be in certain cars usually involve more than just swapping in the motor.

if you thought your LT1 was bad. wait to till you get your NS they're junk i have heard way to many bad things about them! and good luck changing your starter on the NS.

Isn't the Northstar DOHC V8 physically larger than an LT1?

I would think so due to having two cams in each head like the Ford DOHC V8, which is larger than a SBC.

If this is true, you might have less room to work in your engine bay if you go through with the transplant.

northstar is considerably larger if i recall correctly.

much much cheaper and get more power with an LS1 swap :)

or just fix your LT1

There was a member here a few years back. Turbowash IIRC. He had a black LT1 car with a Turbo Northstar on Fikse's.

I remember that......I was just about to mention it myself.

I guess it takes someone who's been here a while, like us.;)

Fix your current engine or replace it with another LTI (or LS1). Much easier and cost effective and achievable on a budget..
