I know this is beating the biggest horse out there, but I am still disappointed that the C6's headlights were not concealed in some fashion...

They didn't have to "pop-up" per se, but, IMHO, the concealed headlights had become as much a part of the "Corvette look" as 4 circularish taillights have become.

Oh well...

Re: Maybe if GM wasn't copying from other cars....

Let us all recall again how when the '03 Viper came out, it was criticized for looking much more (C5) Corvette-like. So the C6 comes along as an evolution of the C5 look, but with the headlights are exposed. Should we be surprised that one can see a little Viper in it if one squints? They are both long hood/short rear, 2 seater sports cars. From the side and back they look quite a bit different (the Vette's longer wheelbase makes for quite a difference). I was a little surprised to see the hood scoop show up on the Z06, but I still wouldn't call the C6/Z06 a copy of the Viper...

Both cars look badass, each in its own right...

And they are quite different in person. Haven't seen them parked side by side mind you. But I have seen both up close on more than one occasion and they convey a totally different look. I wonder how many people have actually been up close with both.

Ummm... you do know the first Corvette came out in 1953, don't you? When did the first Viper come out?

Now, who's copying who?

That scoop looks like a slight variation of a 4thgen SS Camaro scoop anyway. On the viper and the 'vette.

even the rims look the same... lol, but yea ive heard a bit... like my buddy said, if you arent allowed to copy eachother, Dodge would be the only one with a van, Chevy would be the only one w/ muscle cars, SUV's, etc.

If you put black Ferrari pic there (same angle as those two) you will ask even more questions.

Yeah, the Viper is a rip off of the Z06. Don't they have anything original?

They both look sweet by the way.

I have and its bull. They are two totally different cars! If anything, the Viper is the copy, and came reeeaaaaallly late to the party. But you don't hear anyone talkin about that, except on here!

It's a functional Hood scoop (right). And it's on the hood. Q.E.D.
