Hi..lets see if someone can help me with this. I converted my 2.8 liter fuel injected motor to a 350 carbureted motor. The car has air conditioning which i want to keep. I have added a idle compensator sensor, but i dont know exactly how to hook it up. I also added a 6 speed tranny and need to know where i connect the vss cable. If anyone has the answers plz let me know...Thx to all of the replys.

Need Car specs, is it computer controlled? and more info on the compensator. A quick suggestion is the A/C high pressure line has a switch that closes at a preset pressure. You could also use the compressor clutch switch.

Hi..The idle compensator sensor is the edelbrock #8059. The car is a 89 rs. the carburetor will be run w/o the ecm. If you could give me wire colors or exactly what i need to look for that will be great. Thx again

The A/C compressor has a connector on top right behind the clutch pulley. The connector has a diode across the terminals. disconnect it, with the A/C turned one of those two terminals will be hot. splice into the wire that is hot (has 12volts) with the A/C on, and connect it to the compensator solenoid connector, grounding is made through the compensator bracket. Don't forget to reconnect the A/C connector, or your compressor won't come on.
With the engine idling make record of the rpm, then turn on the A/C, and adjust the compensator to bring the idle back up to the recorded rpm.
Let us know how it works out for you.
