350 tbi

Ok so this weekend i m pickin up a 350tbi out of a 90 9c1 caprice.I was wonderin how good the heads were on them?And what kind of head gaskets could i get to make more compression?Also how will my comp from my 305 act to the 350 it has a tune from the mail but i also plan to get it dyno tuned.What kind of cams are made for these cars where can i look.thanks again

Umm, the heads on ANY tbi are the WORST you can get :)

The cam that was in your 305 isnt going to make the same power in the 350 b/c of the difference in cubic inches,but will be better than stock.

I would call comp and talk to them about TBI cams.You can look on their website but I dont think they have alot on TBI cams on it b/c they arent used frequently.

Yup it was a 305 tbi i dont see why it wouldnt atleast run so i can get it on a dyno later.

^Wow, that is a lot of power from STOCK TBI heads :D
But the reason that TBI's get such a bad rap is because they DO take a LOT of money, time, and knowledge to get them running good :)

I think i m going to try to lt4 hotcam with headers and bolt ons and better springs and maybe some head work i found a guy who does awsome work.
