This is beginning to suck lol. I find out something new everyday about this damn car that the previous owner decided to do. Well today as i torn into all the wiring and tubing (removing so i can pull the engine), I found that the egr tubes were cut anyway, so it wasnt even hooked up, i found a cut wire that was just hanging out at the bottom of the engine bay and last but not least i went to pull the tubes off this little saucer shaped plastic thing next to the egr..and as i pulled the tubes, they tore off the plastic "tabs' that stick out for the tubes to connect too. ...Anyway heres a pic of it and where it went in the engine bay. I thought it was part of the egr, but it had coolant in it?...so what is it? thanks guys

That is your heater control valve, they'er cheap under $10 bucks. They break easy because they aren't made very well and they get alot of heat. :)

Never twist the hoses' on plastic parts alway cut the hose some of the parts that break are hard to get to,and hose is cheap.

You should just get rid of the valve and be done with it.

the heater control valve is cheap and easy and if you need to run air conditioning, u need that valve, because without it, collant constantly flows through your heater core and makes alot of heat in the cabin
