Pro 5.0 Shifter

I just got a pro 5.0 shifter from this kid and the inside where the stick is is really gooy. Is this noramal?

if its clean goop your in good shape, if he didnt cut the sleeve to go around the shifter and dirt got in the goop you may have some troubles with it.

Its clean goop but it comes off on my finger if i touch it.

That stuff should be there. Don't worry about it. ;)

Supossed to be there; grease to keep the nylon bushing lubed up.

i have a pro 5.0 im putting into my 3rd gen...
question for ya. did you use the stick they sent with it? cuz im thinking its kinda long? maybe its just me?

yeah i did use the stick they have, some people prefur the Lous short stick... i think thats too short, but its all in a matter of opinion...

The Pro 5.0 stick is meant to be cut to length. Most people take 1/2 - 3/4" off the threads. I'd say start there, you can always cut more off later.

yeah i kinda was planning on cutting some threads.
ill just rock on with this one and change it if i dont like it....
