Hello this is a factory hood. A friend and I put on the hood scoop, with rifits(sp) and bondo. I know very little about body work, So i was going by what my friend was telling me to. It started to crack so I took the hood scoop off trying to fix it. It is to much work for myself. The hood has (12) 1 13/16 holes in the middle to help vent some of the heat. They are covered with tape for the moment. The hood scoop was purchased off ebay. I have some (2)SEM 39747 Multi-purpose Panel Adhesive and (1)SEM 39767 Problem Plastic Repair Material also. Purchased that from local dealer. I have pictures if anyone is interested. I would like to get $150 for everything. The scoop was $100+ and the glue was $80 and the factory hood was on the car. If someone knew what they are doing i'm sure it can be made to look great

You cut holes in the hood? That wouldn't help anything at all...it would just let water in cause it wouldn't be sealed correctly. Water + LT1 optispark = dead car.

actually there were no problems with water I had it on for almost 2 years the holes are under the hood scoop so as much water that gets into a ram air system will get into this one

No water gets in with Ram Air, the box is sealed off, it's designed correctly. If water got in the MAF would be crap and then the engine would be full of water and be crap too.
