Looking for suggestions on the best "bang for the buck" rotor...

Looking for suggestions on a good looking, dimpled and slotted rotor that performs well on the street as well as some light track duty.

I am doing the C5 upgrade on the front soon, and would like some suggestions from those who know. I don't want to spend my money on something that will crack or warp the first time I hammer it hard.

Thanks!

I'd look for the Brembo blanks that have been slotted and cross drilled. Several companies out there do them.

I can check into that. Do you know if they are available dimpled from any company? I want the looks but I don't want the cracks. :)

Thanks.

I'm really not sure. *I* would go with the blanks, but I understand the bling factor too :)

PM bruecksteve. He has done the C5 conversion and has cross drilled/slotted rotors that are a GM part number. They are VERY inexpensive. I've also done the C5 conversion, but I wanted a plain rotor. My rotors were less than $20 each believe it or not, and they are GM rotors. Gotta love C5 rotor prices. :D You can see pictures of them in my webpage.

Try Tirerack and search for brakes for the Corvette:

Looks like both EBC and Power Slot makes slotted and "dimpled" rotors, to give the look of cross drilled. Not exactly cheap, but EBC and Power Slot are good brands. I think Power Slot uses Brembo blanks??

I did some research recently on this subject since I'm doing the LS1 upgrade soon. I'm going Baer because Tbyrne has a good deal on Baer Eradispeeds and Hawks. Else, I would have done the Pro Stop (Power Slot with dimples).

Good luck.
