Help Line Lock Doent Hold Car!

I am running a Hurst "Roll Control" line lock in my car, and I am having trouble. It is not holding the car! I have stock brakes, and the only thing I have is a vacuum canister (due to my cam). I pump the brakes, engage the line lock, and it all engages, but the car doesnt stay still, it rolls forward. At the track, I was forced to use the line lock, and my brakes! Anyone have any suggestions?

You don't need to pump the brake pedal, just push on it hard and then hold down the line lock button.

Do you get the entire circumference of your slicks wet in the waterbox before you start your burn-out? If you don't, the dry spot on your slicks will have enough traction to push your car forward.

I was running on drag radials, and they were rolled wet. The thing is, since I have 4:10, 1st gear doesnt provide enough tire spin to get them hot, so I usually start the burnout, and then shift into 2nd gear. But I was needing to hold the brake pedal down. You are suppose to pump the brake, to get good line pressure, is what Hurst says..

Drag radials aren't meant to go through the water box for a burn-out. Just perform a short dry "hop" to knock off the dirt. Heating up drag radials only shortens their life.

drag radials are suppose to be heated up, but not excessively. especially at a cold not prepped track like ours..

Don't pump the brakes... just press it as far as you can when you are stopped, press and hold the button, release the pedal, and head to town on the burnout...

I'm using the TCI unit, and unless you have it installed wrong, they work perfectly when used as I described.

I believe the Hurst unit has a built in one way valve. Some others do to.
Press the brakes hard, hit the switch, press the brakes once or twice more.

Try that. If that doesn't work, you might actually have a very small leak.
