i'm pretty sure the biggest you really want to go is 255, i have 255 bfg drag radials and they hook pretty darn good.

16" wheel, good luck finding anything much wider then a 255 (and thats a drag radial)
most street tires will stop at 245 for a 16" wheel

275 ET Street...never heard of one

you should be able too stick an 11.5" ET Street on one but a 10.5 ET might be better suited

you got a Summit or Jegs catalog? or look at their online catalogs, they sell them

yes you can put an 11.5" ETS on an 8" wheel
many have done it, many will do it, i am doing it right now ;)

yes! ok found em... now my only questions before order are ...

do you recommend i get 26 in / 11.5 / 16's or 26 / 10.5/ 16s? i don't want them to rub or have to use spacers on my 02 ws6

annnnnd... salad shooters will fit right on my ws6 right?

you might run into issues with the wheels
some of the earlier 4th gens had a hub that was larger in diameter then the later ones
and it seems that the salad shooters (since they were on the early cars) have the most issues on the later rearends
maybe look for '97 and newer 16" 5-spoke wheels or the 16" 10 spoke wheels

you shouldnt have any rubbing issues tho with an 11.5" tire
but the 10.5 might be enuf for the power your car is making now...

FYI
the new MT drag radials are cheaper then the ET streets, more street friendly then the ET streets, dont require as little air pressure to get the same kind of 60' times as the ET streets
and from what i have seen, people have been raving about how much better they are then the ET streets as far as off line traction and top end stability

Do you have the 255's on all four wheels? If so do you have a pic and can you mail me the pic? I want to see if 255 looks any noticably any dif than stock width before I decide what size I want

thanks

You're talking about 10mm here. That is .4" wider. They are not going to really look any bigger. A 245/50 tire is 245mm wide and the sidewall is 122.5mm tall. Tire height with a 16" wheel would be 25.6" tall. A 255/50 tire would be 255mm wide and the sidewall would be 127.5 mm tall. Tire height would be 26" tall.

I appreciate the course 101...I was asking to see a picture from this guy though.
