What is similar to POR-15

I am going to be painting my new Ls1 spinldes with something to protect against rust. Can you buy POR-15 at a local retail store? what else is similar to it because POR-15 is kinda expensive to it.

Should i just spray the calipers with a spray can of high temp cermanic paint?

Personally I wouldnt use it have them powdercoated. I painted a frame with it and its peeling, and yes we followed the directions exactally. Por 15 will tell you road salt will cause it to peel but they dont advertise it.
