I just purchased an Alpine CDA-9847 ( specs (http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com/product/ALPCDA9847) ) so now I'm in the market for some speakers to help out the sound. I'd like to stick with Alpine, so here's what I'm looking at:

A set of Alpine SPS-460A's (4" x 6") up front. Specs found here (http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com/product/ALPSPS460A)

A set of Alpine SPS-690A's (6" x 9") in the back. Those specs found here (http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com/product/ALPSPS690A).

What do you all think of these speakers? I do not want suggestions for other speakers! I just want to know how you think these will do. Also, this is a newbie question, but these will fit, right? I looked up the speaker sizes and these speakers match the size.. I'd just like to make sure.

Let me know what you think. I also purchased an iPod adapter ( specs (http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com/product/ALPKCA420I) ) for the Alpine unit (I love my iPod  ).

Thanks!

The 4"x6" might not fit.

I had some Cerwin-Vega 4x6 speakers that were too big. I ended up going with Pioneers.

Be careful that you don't break your dashboard when you remove it. Of course, you'll want to run bass blockers or a amp that can filter out the lows to those front speakers, and possibly the 6x9's. Throw a sub in the spare tires well.
