Where would I join the wires to in my 2002 Z28, I am trying to put two of my home speakers, and was just wondering where I could hook up them up at in the Z28 to where I don't have to disconnect the stock speakers, I could just use all my speakers and the home speakers as well, any help is appreciated.

Without going into all the details I can tell you right now this is a bad idea. Don't bother.

Besides....home speakers in a 4th gen?!? Come on.

Why would you want to do this?

Some guys have used home audio drivers in place of their stock ones, but not the actual cabinet too. But really, you're looking at getting into something that's either super ghetto or super advanced. And I don't know if you want to spend the coinage to make that kind of a system work.

My friend did this in his Jeep. It had a 15" sub, midrange and tweeter. Get this he powered it w/ a home audio receiver powered by a DC/AC converter. Anyways he hooked the wires up to the stock radio amplifier, lol, it worked and sounded good :D

Nobody saw it because there's a black tarp that goes over the back cargo space on jeeps :D

It's different on a jeep anyway, because you can get away with it much easier than with a Camaro.. This idea is just ghettofantabulous..

most home applications are 8 ohm resistance also so that would be very unefficient in a vehicle, obviously its the looks too.... If that is whta floats your boat go for it but you will get rideculed like you have, remember in car audio the most important phrase that you can remember is "you get what you pay for" retail obviously so.. keep that in mind

you should be slapped... ;)

I agree with the guy above. Even outside of the whole idea being lame - seriously, you'd ruin a good car with a ghetto couple of house boxes. If you were going for something that was extremely nice, you wouldn't be here asking a "basics" question so that leads me (and appearantly the others) to believe that you're getting ready to do something ghetto. Good thing you came to ask us about it first :D
