Do the stock LT1 heads need to be machined for the springs to seat? Max lift?

 

Stock heads do not need any work to install these. I put them on while the engine was still in the car. I can't answer your question regarding max lift. You'll have to do a search or call Comp Cams. If you're interested, send me an email. Thanks.
