Way to clean this off?

When I bought my car, the previous owner had wrote on the winshield "94 Camaro" or something like that, and he wrote on it with stuff called White Streak, White Lightning or something like that, and he told me the best way to get if off would be to take a razorblade and scrape it off. So I did the best I could, but there's still little white spots, and they aren't noticable for someone walking by, but it's one of those things that really irriatates me. I got most of it off, but the remaining spots aren't washing off, so should I take the razor blade to the windows again? I would prefer not to.

Also, I waxed my car a while back, and I've got white marks on the black plastic pieces around the winshield, and they won't wash off from normal washing. What would it take to get the white marks off of the black plastic pieces

Yeah, I've tried all the usual stuff to clean the spots off. I like to keep the car really clean, I don't even let other people touch it on the outside. How about getting the wax off the black plastic pieces under the window?

if it is only on the windshield use nail poloish remover...it is amazing. of course you would not use this on paint. good luck

Rubbing alcohol would work on the sticker as well. Pour it onto a cloth then wipe it on and use the razor again.

for the glass, use some fine steel wool. It will take off everything left behind by the razor. I use it on all my windows to get all the crap off that doesnt come off with just window cleaner

Does that fine steel wool scratch your glass? I know a green scrub pad will so don't use that. Also metal polish works wonders on glass. It will get rid of water spots too.

Wont scratch it at all. Ive used it on hundreds of cars before, not a single scratch :cool:

it can also be used on stainless as well and maybe chrome i dont remember tho
