How will this cam do in a 355 with a t trim.

276HR-12 07-503-8 224/230 .503/.510 112 (+4)

This cam was in a 355 I bought with an S trim. Heads to have some work but how extensive I'm not sure as I'm no expert on port work. I bought a t trim and I'm going to run lots of boost with a fmic and shoot for as close to 700rwhp on pump gas as I can get. I was thinking having the cam advanced to a 114 for the blower and due to the fact that I'm going to spray a 200 shot. Let me know some opinions though. I'd hate to let this hold me back. Thanks in advance, Jarred

Will it work, yes.
Will it be ideal, probably not.

I'd look for a cam with a larger split and more duration on the exhaust side, along with a 114 or larger LSA. Something along the lines of a 10+ degree split or larger. Comp makes a 224/236 on a 114lsa for blower/nitrous use that would be perfect IMO. I'm using that same cam ground on a 112lsa for a NA application and I love it as a mild street cam.

mike could not have put it better. 114 or higher lsa, and a a cam that greatly favors exhaust duration will work perfect. Let us know what you decide!

That cam has about 3 degrees of valve overlap so you shouldn't blow much boost out the exhaust (the 224/236 114LSA that everyone loves has 2 degrees overlap). If it were me, I would have the heads inspected by someone who knows what they're doing and let them make the call on what cam you need. :)

I'm having the heads flowed next week and I'll go from there. Thanks for all the feedback guys. I already knew that I wanted a 114 or higher for boost I was just curious as to see what some of you guys thought about this cam I have. It will most likely be for sale soon along with the springs/locks/retainers cause I already bought all new goodies.
