Free (kinda) MAC headers+ypipe+cat in Northern CA
Hey all,
I have a '95 LT1, and it's got a set of MAC 1 5/8th headers, y-pipe, and the MAC hi-flow cat (but it's been gutted).
The MACs have a pinhole leak on the driver's side of the collectors, where primary #7 is welded to the collector. You'd need to take this header into a shop, and get it tig welded before it seals up completely. I have them bolted on the car now, and the reason I want to trade for exhaust manifolds is so that I can get rid of this leak. It's a minor leak though, these headers have been on the car for over an year and other than the pinhole leak (which causes the car to 'hiss' upon decent throttle), it's been great. Has the stock HTS coating on it, and it hasn't chipped/flaked at all.
Anyway, I'm planning on selling my car soon, so it's probably not going to matter whether I have headers or manifolds on them.
If you'd be willing to lend me your tools, and a helping hand, bring your stuff over this weekend, and we'll wrench on my car to put it back to stock, with the stock manifolds, ypipe, and cat. In return, you can walk away with a set of MAC headers and stuff for free.
I'm in the Mountain View/Palo Alto Area, and would like to swap this weekend. Let me know!
thanks!
