tire..gearing..shift into 5th???

I am thinking of trying out the new 255/50/16 MT ET Street Drag Radial, but I dont want to be forced to shift into 5th gear. I have 4:10 in my 12 bolt, and my rev limiter is set at 6400.. Can someone please help me figure out what tire size i should choose..thank you!!

Those tires are basically 26" tall. What size tires have you run until now?:think: What have you been running in the 1/4?:confused:

Check out www.f-body.org/gears and plug in different #'s.....see what you come up with;). With 26" tires, 4.10's, and a ~6400 redline, you should be good 'til ~125 mph or so (that's a guess-timate.....check the calculator:thumb: ).
