Alarm Install Questions. Lock/Unlock....

Ok my Camaro is a 93.

I got a Crimeguard 745i with the plug n' play harness which hooks up the lamps, horn, and hatch release.

So the only thing I think I have to manually wire are the door locks, sensors and siren.

Well, I know it has the 5 wire Reverse polarity system and I got the schematic and wire location and colors, but I and confused about a few things.

For one the alarm doesn't honk the horn, second the hatch release doesn't work.

And lastly the door lock/unlock feature doesn't work unless the door is open (dome triggered)...

I'm tired of freezing my @ss off trying to get this thing working correctly. Someone please help before I have it professionally done...

Thanks Brent, this alarm install is being a PITA. I got the locks working now.

But my horn doesn't work... when I push the horn button, I hear the relay clicking.

I got a wire harness for the instlal to be plug in play, but no luck... it's suppose to work the horn, lights, hatch release and dome light....

doen light works, but nothing else seems to...

Don't feel bad. "Somehow" I've managed to install about 75 alarm systems for friends and family. I say "somehow" because I don't do this for a living... just somehow know how to do it so somehow used to end up getting stuck doing it a lot. :lol:

Anyway, these 4th gens are no doubt the most confusing I've done. The way the door locks work and the work around you have to on the 96+ models is a bit odd.
