Lingenfelter GTO TTsteve2002 02-20-2005, 05:00 AM http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=104199&an=0&page=0&gonew=1#UNREAD 1stls1 02-20-2005, 08:30 AM WOW, now that is badA$$! I wonder how much? I'd like to see some 1/4 times on that. killer-camaro 02-20-2005, 05:05 PM it took TT's to hit 500 HP?  looks great, but i'd expect more power from a Lingenfelter anything. JEDCamino 02-20-2005, 06:03 PM  I need that! :D Melee Penguin 02-20-2005, 06:03 PM it took TT's to hit 500 HP?  looks great, but i'd expect more power from a Lingenfelter anything. It's an LS1 GTO. Almost a 200 hp/tq gain and you want more? Are you thinking about the 427 TT numbers maybe? stereomandan 02-20-2005, 06:18 PM Incredible GTO. I'm surprised that there is already a TT GTO out there. 510 rwhp!, over 500 rwtq. That thing has to feel insane. Dan Bob Cosby 02-20-2005, 06:19 PM A solid 200 RWHP gain no doubt. Bet it ain't cheap, though. WJH'sFormula 02-20-2005, 06:23 PM it took TT's to hit 500 HP?  looks great, but i'd expect more power from a Lingenfelter anything. Why? Relatively speaking, that's a pretty mild setup, assuming of course it's still a 346 cube. Considering the car probably drives pretty damn close to a stock GTO, I'd say those #'s are pretty kick ass. Figuring the standard 15% (for 6spds) driveline loss, it is putting out 601 flywheel HP, a 251 hp increase over stock. -Jason Big Als Z 02-20-2005, 06:45 PM Well I guess that means there is more left, or they wanted to leave SOME streetability in the car. Bob Cosby 02-20-2005, 06:48 PM Or, more likely, they are being careful with the cast rods and pistons. 1stls1 02-20-2005, 08:16 PM Has anybody said the internals are stock? Bob Cosby 02-20-2005, 08:22 PM Hmmm...don't think so. Has anybody said they aren't? Pandamonkey 02-20-2005, 08:49 PM Holy Hell! That is wicked awsome! mike996 02-20-2005, 11:30 PM Holy Hell! That is wicked awsome! Hell yeah it is. oh and your not from Mass. you're not allowed to say wicked :p ;) Z28x 02-21-2005, 12:03 AM it took TT's to hit 500 HP?  looks great, but i'd expect more power from a Lingenfelter anything. 200RWHP is 230HP extra at the engine. 500RWHP is 575Hp at the engine. plus it is warrantied for 36,000mi, something that most tuners won't do. Lingenfelter stuff is street and emissions legal too. killer-camaro 02-21-2005, 12:50 AM It's an LS1 GTO. Almost a 200 hp/tq gain and you want more? Are you thinking about the 427 TT numbers maybe? actually i was thinking LS2 GTO for some reason. and a 100 HP gain, while good, hardly warrents the cost of a TT setup. but since it is an LS1 goat, i agree its badass. 90 Z28SS 02-21-2005, 05:53 AM actually i was thinking LS2 GTO for some reason. and a 100 HP gain, while good, hardly warrents the cost of a TT setup. but since it is an LS1 goat, i agree its badass. Turbo's would offer 100% stock like driveablity in normal driving with a stock engine . That would be your motivation ;) Lingenfelter is horribly overpriced . That poor guy most likely shelled out over $10K for that set up . Sweet car though. Z28x 02-21-2005, 10:56 AM Turbo's would offer 100% stock like driveablity in normal driving with a stock engine . Yes but if he got the car for $26K, that puts the total at $36K. 600Hp TT GTO at that price is a much better value than a $35k 400HP Mustang Cobra with a 11 year old interior. 90 Z28SS 02-21-2005, 12:00 PM Yes but if he got the car for $26K, that puts the total at $36K. 600Hp TT GTO at that price is a much better value than a $35k 400HP Mustang Cobra with a 11 year old interior. Yes , but a set up like that does come cheaper at an equal level of parts . I better not comment anymore as I have first hand expirience ( and a pretty much lack of respect ) of Lingenfelters "impecable quality" with a pretty high $$ 2000 corvette . I will say , their magazine cars deliver the goods and thats about all I will give them . Again though , SWEET ass GTO  Z28Marcus 02-21-2005, 12:47 PM 200RWHP is 230HP extra at the engine. 500RWHP is 575Hp at the engine. plus it is warrantied for 36,000mi, something that most tuners won't do. Lingenfelter stuff is street and emissions legal too. Yes. Nearly any builder can throw money and parts at an an enigne and make stratospheric HP numbers in a car that's driven on the street (but not necessarily street legal). On it's own I just don't find that particulalrly impressive. Putting together a package that's both streetable, fast and *passes emissions* (which is arguably the far biggest obstacale facing modern street legal performance) with a freaking 36k mile warranty (for goodness sake - how many engine builders offer that) is more impressive to me. Plus, I honestly can't recall having ever read or heard about anyone complaining about the quality of Lingenfelter's engine packages. Evil Turbo SS 02-21-2005, 07:07 PM it took TT's to hit 500 HP?  looks great, but i'd expect more power from a Lingenfelter anything. I have one blower and Im making close to 1000 FWHP and 830-850 rwhp depending on thy dyno and the day.... LPE is not the holy grail anymore. YES they do fantastic work. But you can get the same for less now. indieaz 02-21-2005, 07:11 PM Did anyone save these pictures? The bandwidth for the poster on photobucket has been exceeded. | ||
