well tonight went 1-1 against a 98 GT 5 speed. He said it was bone stock I dont know though I didn't look under his hood. Well I'm trailing him at 45 and slowly pull into the other lane, I was going to pull next to him but with him a little more than a car length he kicks it so I kick mine, I pulled on him hard and passed him around 85-90. Well we stop and talk awhile and we decide to run from a stop. I had a slow reaction and he eat me up coming out of the hole jumping me by 2 car lengths as my car spun terrible also I pulled right up to his bumper and had to let off and get back behind him because of a curve(two lane road). Do this sound bout right or is my car slow or does he have something that he didn't tell me. From the roll race I had my car in 3rd and when I kicked it, it downshifted to 2nd and spun tires alittle.

Yep, sounds about right. Stock for stock you will waste a '98 GT.

1995 Camaro Z28 A4-- Jet Hot longtubes, Hooker Y-pipe, Hooker Catback, K&N FIPK, LT4 KM, Taylor OVC wires.

THIS SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN CLOSE...
He was lying... OR Your car has serious traction issues (If it was a stock 96 ~ 98 GT) The reason I say this was the You should have atleast a 100 HP (+) advantage on a stock 96 ~ 98 GT. Your car STOCK will make horsepower at the wheels than his car made at the flywheel. Are you sure it wasn't a 99+? those have ehough to run close to a LT1 stock for stock.

it wasn't a 99 because they changed the body in 99 and this car had the 94-98 body so I'm sure about that. Also like I said before my car spun terrible it was just spinning the hell out of the wheels, as his car just spun alittle and still moving mine spun and barely moved and he jump me by two car lengths.

Remember also I outrun him from a 40 roll with him a little more than a car ahead of me and he kicked it before I did and still passed him.

If I read your story correctly... you pulled *hard* from a roll and lost from a dig because of your poor off-the-line performance. That sounds right to me.
