That black strip between t-tops

My paint is in overall good condition, but that little strip between the t-tops is faded. i tried waxing and using mothers back to black. still dosent work. any ideas?

I dont have t-tops so what is it? Just black paint or plastic?

black paint, similar to the little triangle on the back of the door.

If you are interested, I have another one if you want... I'll check the paint and all and take pics for you if you are interested in replacing yours.

Its only 8 screws away to take it off and put another one on. :) If I shipped it it woudl likely get there in like 2 days, I just shipped a part to tampa that fast UPS ground and Ocala is closer then that.

Dude just go to the store buy some of those green scotch bright pads , some good primer , & some good black paint. take the T-tops out mask off the area that you dont want paint to get on , use newspaper . then scuff it up real good clean the surface with some laquer thinnner , prime it with about 3 Very light coats take your time dont rush it , & dont try to cover all at once , let dry well then coat it with the black same steps dont try to cover all at once light coats. & your done .

I never trusted carstore paint cans for the exterior... but if you do, do that, I'd just take it off and do it, it would make it easier to get all angles. Its only 8 screws all along the top.

Ya duhhh me . Take it off , I just use dupliclor from autozone primer , paint then clear it works great!!!

A good paint polish should revive it. Menzerna, Klasse AIO, Poorboy's, etc.

Sweet, I think ill take it off and try polishing it out. If that doest work Ill try painting it. Thanks for the ideas!

Try polishing it before you spend the time removing it.

It's black plastic just like the triangles above the doors. I use plastic polish on mine.
