need advice: speakers wont play

I have a 96 z28 with the bose system all factory, it has always worked fine, i got out of school, took the t tops off, and got on the interstate, turned the radio on and skipped to like #3 on my cd... i thought it was just the wind drowning out the sound, when i stopped i still couldnt hear it, i tried other cds, radio, still nothing, clock works, i can skip/fast forward tracks but the sound wont come out.... :/ maybe it came unplugged from the back ... any help is greatly appreciated

Is it muted? Did you try turning the volume up?

well i just got done checking out the plugs on the back and everything is tight, yeah i tried turning the volume all the way up and still nothing at all, is there a way to mute the volume on this radio?

Is the Bose system like the Monsoon? Monsoon has one amp running everything. Maybe the amp is bad or not turning on.

i was just thinkin about that, does anyone know if the amp is built into the head unit or is it remote, and/or does it have a fuse?
