Is there a way to get those scratches out of my Windowsdetroit1994z28 02-15-2005, 12:59 PM Everytime I take car to get the windows tinted the glass get scratches on the outside. KevinSS 02-15-2005, 04:12 PM If the tinter is scratching the OUTSIDE of the glass during the tinting procedure then something is DRASTICALLY wrong....do not go to that tinter any longer.. More likely is that you had the scratches there already and dark background of the tint just makes them show up... detroit1994z28 02-15-2005, 04:28 PM I really never thought about that. Like you said the tint just made everything show up more on the glass. Because I had my old firebird done at a place and my camaro at another and it seems to have the same scratches. There very light you cannot feel them with or without your fingernail. I was just hoping there was a product that would smooth out those - Mike ReNxWar 02-16-2005, 08:07 PM I talked to a friend of mine (he does paint work) about this same question because the previous owner of my car went alittle too long without changing the wiper blades, and ended up scratching the windshield. If you use a very strong buffing compound, it'll take them out. I'm not sure exactly how he worded it, but he basically said that because glass is made of sand anyway, the sand in the compound fills in the scratches and fixes them. detroit1994z28 02-16-2005, 08:23 PM No kidding. Have to try that out. Thanks buddy - Mike KevinSS 02-18-2005, 04:16 PM Our Zaino Z-12 Glass Polish works very well for light scratches.. Zaino guy 02-27-2005, 04:04 PM Ours too! | ||
