Any difference between LT1 and LS1 rear brakes?

Are the rear calipers of an T1 f-body the same as the LS1? I don't have a pic of an LT1 car handy to compare.

Kinda curious...

I'm pretty sure the LS1 rear brakes are better and have a better designed parking brake (mini shoes inside sorta drum built into hub of rotor??). I think the calipers are a little beefier, too. From what I remember reading, it's considered an upgrade to put them on a LT1 but not as good as C5 brakes. Does that help/make sense/totally off? :D

Don't the LT1 rear calipers have the parking brake built into them as opposed to the seperate parking brake setup on the LS1s? Sorry about my unsureness, lol, but I haven't been under my car in 3 months and I'm going through severe withdrawal :cry:

They are slightly different. the rears of an LT1 have fins on them. not a smooth surface like the LS1s. the lt1 calipers mount towards the rear of the rotor and the ls1s are in the front. the actual size of the pad and caliper is the same.
I put an entire ls1 rear end in my car for the better gear ratio. The only benefit on the calipers is that they are easier to paint with the smooth surface.
