I was wondering if any of you out there have some tips on getting a better E.T.??? I have a 2002 Z28 with 340rwhp and the fastest i have got was a 13.3 but the track i have ran at it pretty much crap. Any tips on how to get my car to break a 12 cause the guy that owned it ran a 13.01 but that was at a NHRA track in Ennis, TX.. Any help please let me know...

More info. You say you have a 2002 Z, but your sig has info for your LT1 car. We need to know what you've got on it to tell ya. You probably need a better tire on the car. What's your 60 foots?

i was in the same shoes(13.3@101) as you buddy. so what i did this past friday was took the all the seats out and got some prostars up front. prolly dropped.15th then along with the x-pipe/duals another .15 off my quarter. i came up with a 13.03@102. i really want to hit 12's without gears/suspension so other than that maybe your car being an LS1 would benefit a little more from these mods than mine. either that or if you want to skip the 12's just get a TNT kit w/ 150hp jets

This is my friends name because i tried to create an account and it wont let me post, but my car has SLP LT's, Loudmouth, Lid, thermostat and 3.73 gears. I was trying to find some time slips but i think my last 60' time was like 2.28 and i was on Kumho Ecsta Supra's which really sucked.

What he said. Get some Nittos or something. Or E/T Streets. :)

Get the car hooking on some DRs and take some weight out of it, will runa ton better

Methods to lower ET:
1. Improve traction: sticky tires, assorted suspension mods, improve weight distribution (more weight on rear of car), run at a well prepped track.
2. Increase engine hp: lots of ways but don't forget the influence of air density on power. GThe car will run a lot faster/quicker in good air.
3. Decrease weight: take stuff off or substitute light weight parts (especially rotating parts).
4. Optimize gearing: you want to go through the traps a bit over peak hp in 4th gear.
5. Cut a better light: practice and concentration.

Try this
-Remove front sway bar
-Nittos or BFG DR's ( 19 psi )
-Free Ram-Air Mod w/ K&N Air Filter
-pump front (stock) tires up to 45 psi
12.9- high 12.8's easy . Good luck  ;)
