Question about keyless entry

I have a 94 with keyless entry. Did the 94s flash the lights or beep the horn stock when it was locked? Mine does not do either, but I am wondering if it is because the previous owner had an aftermarket alarm at some point. There is a small hole in the dash where an LED would have been. Is that stock, or aftermarket?

I don't think they beeped or flashed lights until 96+. I'm guessing its an OBD2 thing.

While it really has nothing to do with OBD-II, you are correct that those features began in 1996. :) It is when they started using the BCM (Body Control Module) in the f-body.

it'll flash the lights and beep twice when you unlock it, or lock it
